Lettuce

Roll unwashed lettuce in a dry towel, then store in a sealed bag in the refrigerator.

Do not wash lettuce leaves until they are ready to be eaten. Roll the head of lettuce in a dry towel (cloth or paper), which will absorb extra moisture over time, then store in a sealed bag or container in the refrigerator.

To prepare lettuce for the week, washed lettuce that has been thoroughly dried in a salad spinner can be stored in a sealed container layered with towels like Salad Greens

To bring life back to wilted lettuce, soak the leaves in an ice water bath for up to 30 minutes. Watch a video to learn how.
