Not sure if your eggs are still fresh? If the date has passed, they are likely still good to eat.
Date labels on eggs most often refer to when the eggs will still be at peak quality, not to their safety.
To find out if your eggs are still good, do the float test. Place the egg in a glass or bowl of water. If it floats, it's time to send that egg to the compost. If it sinks, the egg is still fine to eat!
Make sure to use your senses when using eggs (even before the date label on the container). If eggs were cracked in transport or not properly refrigerated, they may not be safe to eat even before the date label. Once you've cracked it open, if the egg looks off and smells bad, stay on the safe side and compost it.
