BASIL

To keep basil full and fresh, trim the stems and place them in a jar with 1-2 inches of water, just like cut flowers. Store them on the counter and away from direct sunlight.

Leave basil uncovered, out of the refrigerator, and away from direct sunlight as basil leaves are sensitive to cold temperatures.

Additional Storage Tips

Salad greens should have space for air to flow, but also include a paper towel to absorb any extra moisture before sealing and putting in fridge.
